El Paso VOAD Annual Meeting

El Paso Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD)

The annual meeting for the local group took place on April 27 at Project Amistad.  The group elected new officers and went over goals for committees and possible coalition formation in the future.  The VOAD in El Paso started in 2009 when it transitioned from the Long Term Recovery Commitee formed in response to the Floods of 2006.  Thank you to the past officers and board members for their service.  Special recognition goes to our past Chair, Xabier Banales, Executive Director at Project Amistad, for his leadership and assistance the past two years.  The following is the list of officers:
