Fire Corps

Supporting Fire and EMS Services Through Community Involvement:
Community members can make a difference for their local fire and EMS department. Fire Corps helps departments build more capacity by connecting them to community volunteers who can assist in a variety of non-emergency roles. Explore the national organization web site at http://firecorps.org to learn more about Fire Corps, find existing programs, and read about how community members and departments nationwide are benefiting from Fire Corps.
Fire Corps members shall be assigned to appropriate and necessary functions to assist in non-emergency roles.
The Fire Chief or his designee will determine these roles.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Have good moral character
- Not be dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces
- Complete and process an application and have an acceptable form of identification on file
- Pass a criminal background check
- After entering the program complete an orientation and sexual harassment class
